Electrophysiology: Tetrodes, Laminar probes, Glass pipettes, etc.

Our lab measures electrophysiology in awake and anesthetized mice using a variety of extracellular electrical probes. Many of our experiments implement Open Ephys, a platform founded by Moore Lab members Drs. Jacob Voigts and Josh Siegle, to measure electrophysiological dynamics throughout the brain, including primary somatosensory cortex and thalamus. To complement extracellular electrophysiology research, we collaborate with labs that specialize in intracellular recordings and EEG/MEG, such as Dr. Stephanie Jones’ lab at Brown University.
